We're Back! Honeymoon Glimpse in HDR Photography
I'm married! It was gorgeous. There were hiccups, but we didn't sweat it. Everything was absolutely perfect, and we are so happy.
The day after the wedding, we were going to leave for our honeymoon resort immediately following brunch, but we decided to stick around and spend one final day with our family and friends. I'm so glad we did.
The picture above was taken at Secrets Sanctuary Cap Cana, where we went for the honeymoon. The resort was impeccable. This dramatic pool was in the middle of the fortress/castle building where we stayed.
This was the view from our room. I wondered why the people on the first floor didn't use the beds on this island they had access to, but then it occurred to me that there wasn't any water access. Who wants to bake in the sun with no relief?
Here's another view of the fortress. This resort had so many nooks and crannies to explore - and all of them were pristine.
I felt like Mary Lennox in the Secret Garden when we stumbled upon this quiet pool on the rooftop with a breathtaking ocean view and a very attentive server. Thomas even cured my severe stomachache with a concoction called a 'bomba'. The honeymoon was saved!
We had such a phenomenal time, and it was so nice to have such a nice, long break from everyday life. It was long enough that I think we're both ready to get back at it, with renewed strength and ambition.
And I'm definitely ready to be back in the kitchen!
P.S. Here's a link to a good description of HDR photography, if you're interested.
Congrats!! These pics are beautiful. Can't wait to see some of the wedding!
